Things to do in Binalong Bay

Skeleton Bay Reserve Tasmania

Skeleton Bay Reserve, Binalong Bay

The Bay of Fires encompasses a collection of stunning bays that extend along the northeast coast of Tasmania. Here’s where to explore:

  1. Book a pop up picnic, winter twilight picnic or proposal picnic!

  2. Skeleton Bay Reserve Rock Pools

  3. Skeleton Bay Tracks - In walking distance from you is the head of the trail exploring Humbug Point Nature Recreation Area. Walk as little or as far as you please.

  4. Explore the pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, orange-red lichen that covers the granite boulders along the shoreline. Our favourites include: Binalong Bay, Jeanneret, Swimcart, Cosy Corner North and Sloop Reef.

  5. The Gardens Coastal Walk - From The Gardens car park, walk along the beach for around 30 minutes to a historical site where local indigenous people hunted for food. Explore the dugouts among the rocks, and 15 minutes further along the beach is a lagoon for a swim. Please note some rock scrambling is involved.
